MHFA Champion

This nationally recognised course will give you:
An understanding of common mental health issues
Knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness
Ability to spot signs of mental ill health
Skills to support positive wellbeing
The Knowledge and confidence to provide Mental Health First Aid for the most common mental health issues
An understanding of how to help build a mentally healthy communities, challenge stigma and support positive wellbeing

This is a one day course primarily aimed at people volunteering or working in the community sector.

Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities.
Numbers on this course are limited so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn.

Everyone who completes the course gets:
A certificate of attendance to say they are an MHFA Champion
A manual to refer to whenever they need it
A quick reference card for the Mental Health First Aid action plan
A workbook including a helpful toolkit to support their own mental health

This course is open to anyone over the age of 18 living or working in Herefordshire or Worcestershire.

MHFA England value this course at £200 per person.
