Digital Skills for Absolute Beginners – 5 week course
The course is suitable for learners who have little to no experience with computers or digital devices. Whether you are looking to develop skills for personal use, to communicate with friends and family or to enhance your employability, this course will provide a supportive and friendly environment to help you build confidence in using digital technology like computer, smartphone or tablet. By the end of the course, you will be able to:
– Turn a computer on and off and log in, use a mouse and keyboard and navigate the desktop environment.
– Connect to Wi-Fi network and browse the internet using different search engines
– Use different settings on your device to make it easier to use
– Understand the importance of online safety and privacy, create strong passwords, and protect your personal information
**Entry requirements: This course is aimed at learners with no or little experience of using digital devices or the internet.
**A laptop will be provided for you to use during the lessons, no need to bring your own device.
