REACH Community Research Training

REACH stands for Research Engagement And Community Health. It is a framework designed to promote better collaboration between health and care researchers and the VCSE sector in Worcestershire: working together for better health through effective research.

The training is designed to fit alongside the REACH framework which promotes 3 levels of participation: Aware; Engaged and Involved.

This training promotes awareness and engagement for community based organisation and is made up of 4 modules.

It is an interactive course containing a series of activities linked to The “REACH Introduction to Health and Social Care” video.

The contents are designed to boost your confidence, knowledge and skills if you are completely new to research, as well as those who have been involved in research projects before.

Module 1: What is REACH and Why  research is important

Module 2: How to plan and design research

Module 3: Involving people with honesty and integrity (Ethics and Participation)

Module 4: Research Analysis and Reporting

If you aren’t sure what any of that means, please don’t worry as each attendee will receive a Health and Social Care Research support guide and access to further resources, information and opportunities to engage further in REACH and a glossary which translates “research speak” into plain English.
