Managing Difficult Thoughts and Feelings with EFT Tapping Techniques

This is a course you can start at anytime. Emotional Freedom Techniques (sometimes called EFT ‘Tapping’) are a set of ways of turning down challenging thoughts and feelings to allow you to focus and feel better.

Difficult thoughts and feelings can mess with our mood and our day.  This course offers  proven techniques that can be easily learned to quieten down unhelpful thoughts or feelings.  Emotional Freedom Techniques (sometimes called EFT ‘Tapping’) are a set of ways of turning down challenging thoughts and feelings to allow you to focus and feel better.

EFT Tapping has been around since the 1980’s but it is only in the last 7-8 years that really good quality research has been done to show its effectiveness. It has been used to support weight loss by reducing food cravings, anxiety management, general stress reduction and in a therapy setting for trauma treatment for post-traumatic stress-type disorders.

In this course we look at EFT Tapping from a self-help perspective.  It does not replace working with a therapist if you are in acute distress or crisis, but it can be really helpful as a well being tool.

It works by retraining a part of the brain and nerves that become over-sensitive when we get pushed into high stress.  It’s easy to learn and use,  and has a proven track record.

The course has 4 lessons:

1/ Introducing EFT Tapping  – what is it and how does it work?
2/ How to use EFT Tapping and when – what can it help you with and how do you do it?
3/ Alternative ways to use EFT Tapping – for healthy sleep, high pressure situations and when you are around other people
4/ Make tapping a habit – how to build tapping into your routine to maintain the benefits of it

Each lesson offers a mix of short, easy to learn from content. It includes video and audio instruction. There is a minimum amount of written-word material in each lesson. You can learn the technique from watching and/or listening  There are resources and aids to memory for you to download too if you wish.

4 short lessons of up to 1 hour per module (4 hours study in total). Start any time, and study at your own pace over 12 weeks.

You can access it through a laptop, desktop computer or smart phone or tablet. The videos and audios are downloadable as well as any resources.

You can access the course for 12 weeks from your registration date.
